The time just keeps ticking by faster and faster every year. My babies are growing up. It seems like I get so busy this time of year with my business and before I know it, Christmas is here. My youngest will be 10 in February. I have had a little one for 24 years on Christmas. I'm not sure what to do now that they're all getting grown on me. I know she's still a little girl, but I'm referring to the magic of Christmas we see when a little one is around. This year my daughter didn't want to go to the parade, didn't want to stop and listen to the Christmas tree in town. She does still enjoy finding her elves everyday and leaving notes for them and Santa, but will she next year??? I have to find some new ways to keep Christmas magical.

Wedding Almost Here
Tomorrow is the big day, my oldest is getting married. They are so excited. My son called me yesterday. As we were talking, he asked me if I was going to cry, I told him that I didn't know, he said he may. It is going to be beautiful and so sweet, can't wait. I am also looking forward to the future as I get to watch them grow as a couple and a family. I could not be more proud of them both. My son has been working hard and on nights this week and even working tonight so I know after its all done, he will be ready for some rest. I think they're just as excited to get away for their honeymoon.
As for today, I took it off instead of Tuesday because the kids are out of school. I am hoping to get some much needed housework done and orders. I have so much to do, this house is a wreck and the holidays are coming up fast.

Facebook...Vent
Facebook has really proven to be the devil in my world. So much that I had deactivated it for a while after my SIL started crap with me on there for not getting her son a job. I activated it about a month ago, but just for work as we were posting stuff to our page. I posted on there over the weekend, just a picture from my son's wedding rehearsal....that ended up making another family member mad. People confuse me!!! Literally!! I don't know if it's me, but I honestly don't understand why it would be. I try not to bother anyone, but I will let you know when you have made me mad, most times. I get up every morning and get me and my kids ready for school and work, unless it's the weekend. I come in every afternoon and cook, laundry, and work on my orders...I usually start my day around 7a.m. and end around 8p.m. I don't have time to worry with those who don't have half the to do list that I do. I could go into more detail, but...it is time to start my day and not worth it. I just want to know. ...why do people always act like I should just do so much while they do nothing??? I'm not a robot, I get tired, overwhelmed, exhausted....I just really feel like I want my husband, kids, and I to move to a deserted island sometimes. So over the drama stirrers...

I Feel The Rush Of The Holiday Orders
My little Etsy shop had been so sporadic since spring and worst the past few months. I'll boom boom boom and then nothing. I had a feeling that once it got November that things would get crazy and so far I have been right. I'm ready though. As much as I hate that my Daughter isn't doing dance this year, it is really helping with my stress, lol. Being able to stay on top of my orders is wonderful. Plus my son is about to get married in less than 2 weeks. I won't be completely stressed out and overwhelmed so I'll be able to enjoy it.
Guess I better get up and get these kids up for school and drink more coffee.

Happy November
We made it to November!! We had the hottest Halloween, it got close to 90 yesterday, so crazy. I hope we start getting some rain and cooler temps now that it's November. We haven't had rain in months.
Today is my weekday that I take off. I have some orders to work on and I'm hoping to get some new items made as well.
I cleaned and organized my shop this past weekend, it looks so good. It will make working a lot better, lol. It was something that was way over due. Now, for the rest of the house, lol. There's always so much to do.....always!!!
Guess I'll finish my coffee, get these kids off to school, and get busy! !

Up And Working Already
It hasn't been too bad of a week. It's still slow to be getting into the holiday season, but hopefully that will change once we get into November.
I have a cheer order that I'm hoping to finish this weekend, or at least early in the week. I also have a couple of other orders that I want to get out as well.
The kids had their school festival Thursday. They always enjoy that. My 15 yo hangs with his friends. My 9 yo thought she was going to as well, but not yet, not without me anyway. Although I did see a lot of kids running around without their parents, I just can't do it yet, maybe next year when she's 10. She's the baby of 4, so I tend to protect a lot more than I did with the other 3.
My girls carved their pumpkins yesterday...well, me and my 9 yo did hers. They turned out really good. I'll attach a photo.
I also got some new items made and listed in my shop for Christmas, so proud of these. I'm thinking of having a drawing for the ones I made. I'm just not sure how I want to do it yet.

Week Is Coming To An End...
The weeks just go by faster and faster. I have gotten a lot accomplished this week. I'm not sure if it's the election year or what, but orders are down 50% from last year. I was staying close to the previous years orders, but the past couple of months, which is usually the kick off to my busy season, I'm way off compared to last year. I like to get better each year, not worst. What this tells me is that I need an overhaul. I want to get to 600 listings in my Etsy shop and get my personal site stocked. I started working on my personal site months ago, paying my fee every month, but I haven't been listing or promoting it. I've got to do better. I also want to add new items weekly, easier said than done when my machine is always in use working on orders. I did get a new Christmas shirt for babies made yesterday, I feel like it should do well. I'll post a picture later.
Time to get these kids up and ready for school and me ready for work.

Hoping to get a lot accomplished today
I take Tuesdays off from my away from home job. I'm hoping to get my floors swept/mopped and lots of orders done. I had to work yesterday and when I got home, I was able to get 3 orders done (one order had 2 shirts). I have one shirt that needs a certain fabric that I thought I had for some reason, I even looked at the fabric Saturday and told myself that I have some at home. Well, I got ready to make the shirt yesterday and....I don't have that fabric, so I have to go get that today. Just a minor set back, but it will be o.k.
Etsy has been oddly slow this season. I'm not sure what's going on with it or if it's just the economy. I really need to work more on my website I have through godaddy. I may just not be adding enough new items, too. I think after the holidays, I'm going to start replacing some stuff on Etsy, but have everything on my website. Give my Etsy shop a fresh, new look with new items.
It's about time to get these kids up and start my day...m

Monday again, let's accomplish some goals
I don't know if you're house gets like mine, but when I'm busy it's like my house gets the messiest it can. Especially my 9 yo's bedroom. She sleeps in her older sisters bedroom and just throws stuff in hers. Drives me crazy! ! I told her a few weeks ago to start cleaning a little each day and she will get it clean, but...I think it got worst. So, this week I'm hoping to work at it :)
Yesterday my Husband and Son went to the race and me and my 9 yo daughter stayed home. I had two big orders to finish up, plus the kids and I spent Saturday together going to a chili cook off and the errands. My daughter and I also watched 2 movies (a rare thing, I'm not much of a TV person except when it's the Hallmark channel during the holidays). We watched Pie wars on Hallmark and later we watched our annual Hocus Pocus. I had them both recorded so it took less time to watch them :)
Right now it's coffee time before I have to get the kids up and ready for school and me ready for work....Mondays, they just get here way too fast.
I'll attach some photos if what I finished yesterday. I had to stitch the pockets onto 8 shirts (I already had the monograms done) and make those ribbons into bows ( I already had the embroidery done and the disney shirts just had to be trimmed out and folded, not too much. Probably took me 3-4 hours.
I'm only attaching a few pictures. I had 13 disney shirts, 8 bows, and 8 pocket tees to finish up yestersay.

Good Sunday Morning!!
I'm going to start blogging more about my daily business routine as well as promote my items and who knows what else, lol.
When you're a Mom, Wife, have an away from home job, and run an online business....there are no off days. The thing about it though, is if you enjoy what you're doing, that's o.k. because it doesn't feel like work.
Right now is coffee time. It's finally cooling off here a little bit in Alabama. We just turned on our heat for the first time yesterday and this cooler weather makes me just want to sit here and drink coffee, lol....I love it though because this has been a brutally, hot summer. Now, if we could only get some rain :)
I don't want this post to be too long and boring so I'll update later this evening about my accomplishments for my business that I do today.

The Kids Had A Good First Day
The kids seemed to enjoy their first day of school yesterday. My 9 yo got a locker and has to change classes...I wasn't ready for that yet. We have a small school though and this is how we have to do things in the upper grades (it only goes to 6th grade and then they go to a different school). My 10th grader seemed to enjoy his day as well. I let him drive to school. He wanted to do it again today, but it's just out of the way from where I have to go to work. Maybe when I'm off on Tuesdays. Hoping for a great year for them both.

This Week Has Just Got My Nerves Crazy
This has been a rough week on my heart. I am starting to realize that my baby not wanting to take dance bothers me more because she is just growing up. I don't want to see dance as just a memory. School also starts back tomorrow and I feel like it just went by way too fast and that I should have done more with the kids over the break. Ella is going into the 4th grade, it is just killing me. They are letting them have lockers now, change classes, etc. They will be just big kids, except I don't want her being a big kid. I'm not ready to let her grow up yet. I have 4 kids and it gets harder with each one. I feel so much guilt. I feel like I didn't do enough, enjoy enough, stay patient enough, etc. When they're born you feel like you have so much time, but then you turn around and they're half grown, making their own decisions and having their own likes and dislikes that are so different than what you planned for them. Hopefully after these first couple of days of school, I'll start adjusting better. I get like this on certain milestones my kids have. Too bad we can't keep them smaller longer and let them grow up when we're ready.
Another milestone happened yesterday too...my youngest son got his permit. He is one happy boy!! He had him a summer job so I wasn't able to get it as he was always gone. Yesterday, around lunch, he asked me when were we going to get it so we left and went and got it :) I had already been thinking about it because school starts tomorrow and I knew we needed to get it done. He drove us hone from Jacksonville, over the mountain and did really good. Then he drove us to my daughter's school orientation. I'm really proud of him. Now, if we can slow time down so he isn't getting his license too quick. I'm not ready for that yet....at all. He's going to be the one that keeps me up at night waiting for him to come home.

My Daughter Doesn't Want To Take Dance This Year
For a few years now my daughter will say she doesn't want to take dance anymore, but I sign her up anyway and she does fine. She loves it, but for whatever reason she says this. She has been in the Nutcracker as an angel twice and has said she wants to be all of the characters that she can audition for. This year she did it again, not wanting to take dance so I looked around at other studios thinking maybe a change will be better. I was last minute, but able to get her into the classes we wanted. I showed her their website and told her about it and she seemed o.k. with it other than it being 2 days instead of just the one she's use to. Anyway dance starts today. I was getting her stuff ready yesterday and she said "I'm not taking dance". This went on all evening. I bribed her by going online to Claires and buying her a Beanie boo and a sleep mask....not long later she tells me again that she doesn't want to do it. None of her friends will be there, she said. I asked if she wanted me to try and get her back into her old class, she said no. It's so confusing for me. I know she enjoys dance and I just feel like if we stop now, she will miss out on do much that she's about to be able to do now that she's getting older. But...I don't want her being upset and sad either. I did tell her that it's no different than doing the nutcracker. The first year she made it, no one else from her dance class that she knew were in there. Plus some of the girls from the nutcracker will be in this new class and she may know them. My plan is to talk with her dome more and hopefully take her up there to see the studio and meet the teacher (which I should have already done, but I didn't know she was feeling like this) and hopefully she will at least give it a try....and like it...I hope

Vacation Is Almost Over
We have been on vacation this past week. We went to West Monroe, Louisiana. Our timing wasn't the best as everything was closed Sunday and Monday so we headed back home Monday. I just couldn't stand another boring day in the truck or motel room, it's way different than being bored at home. We did see a lot of Duck Dynasty stuff and we went to an awesome zoo there. There was also a really cool walking trail by our motel thst we walked. The heat is much different there. It gets hot here in Alabama, but at least the breeze cools us unlike it Louisiana, the breeze is so hot, thick, sticky,.. horribly hot!!
While being back home, my husband and youngest son remodeled one of our bathrooms and I have been redecorating my living room walls. I got my last picture in yesterday and can't wait to hang it today. Me and my youngest daughter had lunch with my oldest son Thursday at Olive Garden and yesterday my youngest daughter had a movie date for her BFF'S birthday, we seen The Secret Life Of Pets, really cute.
Now, I need to get ready for my day and do some cleaning/arranging :)

My Website Is Ready
I'm so excited about my website. I still have a lot to add, but I just love the layout and it being just about me and my stuff. I'm planning to list daily, but I do know that is not always a reality. I just have so much to do and not enough hours and energy in the day, lol.
I bought 20 new designs last week and I got some freebies. I have stitched 6 of them so far. I have so many designs that I have bought over the years and never stitched, that's going to change. My main goal is to stitch them all out. I know it will take time, but it's doable. I'm also going to start listing new holiday stuff next month :) I know that's early, but I want it in the search engines real good when the holidays start rolling around. Besides, some people order early, most order last minute, but I do have a few that order months ahead.

Another Monday...seems like I start off good, but that's it, lol
I just realized that my last post was on a Monday as well. I will try to do better this week :)
Last week my 9 yo had cheer camp, which she loves so much! !! She played t ball and softball when she was smaller, but she hasn't wanted to the past two years. But she LOVES dance and cheering.
This well we are going to get started on out summer fun. A little late, but not too bad. They have wild Wednesdays here that is about nature. I have wanted to take the kids, but I always work. This year I can do it so we are planning on going this week.
I am also starting my healthy eating this week. I made a huge fruit salad yesterday and I found Pantera Bread dressing for my salad, mmmm, can't wait to try it. This morning for breakfast I will have my fruit smoothie on my way to work and then peanut butter toast and a banana later.

Monday Already. ...
Well, today is the day that my daughter starts her job with me. She is so very excited. We are getting ready and having our morning coffee. I know it's going to be a huge relief for those in the office.
We have been lazy enough this summer. It's time to start planning some FUN. I still need to share my pinterest board. I have some summer fun ideas on there that I have found. This week my 9 yo has cheer camp, so that will be some fun for her. She always enjoys it!!

Facebook......
I have had Facebook for a good while. I got it in the beginning for my business, but since then it became a friend's only thing and I used pages for my business. It just amazes me at the drama on there. Over the weekend I got my own. I know I could have just sent a text about what the other person commented, but it just went all over me and I didn't care and still don't. How do you ever know that the people in your life, rather it be family or friends, are really true family and friends??? This past weekend was a big shocking eye opener. I have had some back stabbing people in my life, but from this person, I couldn't believe it. Warning, this may be a long, boring post, but I just need to type this out. FYI, I will be deactivating my account as you can do that and not lose anything and just log back on when you decide you want to be back on there. Just don't delete it.
It started a couple of months ago. My SIL messaged me that her son had put in an app where I work and she wanted me to help him get the job. Well, I just work there, I don't hire and fire, I just show up, do my job, and go home. I told one of the managers there his name and that he put in an app if she was still needing help. I left it at that. I mean really, if you need a job, you need to get the job, IMO. My SIL messaged me again later asking me about it and I told her that I told them and that he may want to call and check on his app (this does show that you want the job, not sure if he did or not) I also told her off another department that needed help that he may want to put an app in, not sure if he did or not, but after this, he's on his own. I have 4 kids and 3 of them have been able to get a job without me hounding people, my 4th kid is only 9, so it doesn't apply to her. Anyway, I work in the office some. My oldest daughter just finished her third year of college and quick books. One of the ladies in the office has been sick and needs to take some time off. They need someone to help just during the summer. They knew my daughter had what they need so they asked me if she would want the job. They asked me, I did not go to them. Of course, she wanted it as it gives her some experience in the field she's going on (she wants to be a tax auditor). My daughter gets on her Facebook, excited about her new job and thanks me, which me working there helped, but her having the schooling is what really got her the job. My SIL comments, I'm glad she did for someone, referring to me helping to get my daughter a job and not her son. So anyway, that started a BIG back and forth thing, on Facebook, no doubt. It ended up on my page and once it did, I let her have it. 15 years ago when my 2 oldest kids were 6 and 8 and I was pregnant with my, now 15 yo son, me and my SIL used the same babysitter. Anyway, during this time, our babysitter passed away, she was and older, sweet lady. On my Facebook page, my SIL brings this up, saying that people will not think highly of me when they find out what I did the day after she passed away. ..15 years, and this is all she can find, dig dig dig, there's nothing there. She acted like it was something soooo bad, but all she ever said was that I took my kids over there. Well, its like this. I worked 7 a.m-3p.m at the time so there's no way of me knowing that something had happened during the night until I got over there that morning so if that is soooo bad, I'm sorry. It's not like I left them there. Other than that, I don't know what she's talking about. ...15 years is a long time to remember details, but apparently she thought she had something on me. This is what Facebook and jealousy does to people and they don't mix well!! I seriously have a very simple life. I have been a Mom since I was 17. My youngest is 9 and I am 41 so all I have really ever done is raise me kids and work. I go to work and come home. The only time I interact with other adults, besides my husband (and fscebook) is when I'm at work, or taking my daughter to dance/cheer. If I do anything with anyone, it's with the people in the house. My two addictions are coffee and this stupid, time sucking phone. I have never done drugs and I had a glass of wine on new years. Oh, I do drive a little fast, but I have a valid drivers license and insurance. So, my point is....why do people waste their time worrying about what I'm doing??? Enjoy your life. If you're not happy with your life, then make some changes. Don't find fault with others to make yourself look good because you're miserable with your own life. That is not happiness!!
Sorry for such a long, boring post, but I just felt like I needed to do this. I needed to get it off my chest so that I can move on. As for me and the SIL, she has crossed a line with me and I'll never get over it. At least that's how I feel at this moment. She told my son she has just tolerated me and by her bringing up something from 15 years ago, that just proves that she is right. I don't have to be tolerated. If you don't like me, stay away.

TGIF
I have been so off track this week. Taking Monday off just messed me up, I guess, but it sure was nice :)
I got my daughter's dance pictures made Tuesday and I am so excited about them. They are still editing them, but the one pose we were all excited about, she posted on her Facebook page, it is beautiful!! My 9 yo posed so great. The best she has ever done.
My 15 yo started a job last Friday. He is so excited. He is helping his girlfriends dad. He has a truck that he is fixing up for when he turns 16, which reminds me, I need to take him to get his permit, lol. He just turned 15 in May. He wants to be grown so bad. I have never seen a kid want to be an adult as much as him. He feels so grown just having a job and his own money.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend
So far I am enjoying my long weekend. We went to a big flea market yesterday and got some trees,a rose bush, flowers, etc. to plant in the yard. We also got another bird bath. That's what I'll be doing today, planting flowers :)
We had a tree cut down a couple of weeks ago and there's still a little mess from it. My husband and son will, hopefully get that cleaned up today so we can decide where to put everything. So looking forward to fixing the yard up now that the tree is gone. That thing was a nightmare. It's a sweet gum tree and all it did was make a mess. We still have one that we're hoping to have cut down before summer is out.
Right when we got to the flea market yesterday I spotted these turtles. It's a baby, a little bigger than a quarter. I showed my 9 yo and she just had to have it. Her name is Sweetie :) I'll post updates along the way of its journey with us. It's going to be exciting! !

I had a teacher at the school have me make a few of these baseball shirts with the monograms on the bottom left corner. I thought they were so cute so I made me and my 9 yo daughter one. They didn't have the pretty colors available in youth like my grey and pink one so hers is white with black sleeves. I may make some up for Christmas gifts (I plan to start that soon, gets so busy during the holiday season that I don't have time to make myself and family stuff, lol).

Good Morning
Nothing fun going on this week, yet. I'm trying to get caught up (I'm not really behind) on orders and get the house cleaned this week. I take Tuesdays off from my "away from home" job. Yesterday my youngest son went to his girlfriends house for the day and me and my youngest daughter stayed home while I worked on orders. I stopped around 2 and then we went and got a milkshake and then came home and checked on our plumb tree, the pool, etc. Then we were just lazy the rest of the day, lol. I guess this week can be the lazy start and next week we'll start planning fun stuff to do.

Summer Break Has Started
This is my kids first week out for summer. Their break usually goes by so fast. This summer I am planning to have some fun. I have made a summer fun board on Pinterest with some fun ideas. I'll get that link and post it if anyone wants some ideas for their kids too.
Last week was a fun, last week of school and dance. My youngest is the only one who really has anything going on right now. She had her field day and dance recital last week. I can't believe she's a 4th grader now. Goodness the years just pass by so fast.
