Day With My Oldest Daughter

Today was a day for JUST me and my oldest Daughter. My Husband took the younger ones with him and got their backpacks, lunch boxes and more shoes.

Me and my Daughter went to Douglasville to Plato's Closet where she found her some clothes, then we went to the mall where she found her some more clothes. Then we ate at Sarku, our fav place, and got Starbuck's on our way home. She had to work today so we had to start early, which is nice, not a crowd of people everywhere.
My youngest Daughter is going to spend the night with my Mom tonight so it will just be me, Hubby and youngest son.

The year I was in no hurry to see

When I had my baby girl 51/2 years ago, I was in no hurry for her to grow up or start school. Was suppose to be so far away. I wouldn't even put her in the 3/4 year pre k so she could stay with me as long as possible. She is the baby of 4 kids and was a surprise for us. I had just signed my baby boy up for Kindergarten when I got pregnant with her. It wasn't long after she was born or maybe even before when I realized the year she started school was going to be an eventful year. Since I have spaced my kids out the way I have, I now have 3 kids graduating this year. I have managed to enroll a kid in school every five years, three times in a row. My oldest child is 20, he graduated last year(2011). My oldest Daughter is 17 and will graduate High School this year. My youngest son is 11 and will have his last year in the Elementary school this year which has a 6th grade graduation and my baby girl will graduate Kindergarten.
I have had a little kid under me since I was 17, I am now almost 38. Every time I got one in school, here came another. This year is going to be so hard not having my Daughter here. Doing my errands without her with me. She goes everywhere I go. I have friends, but I don't really hang out with anyone because I have my kids and stay so busy with them. I do work away from home, my Mom would keep her and bring her to work in the afternoons, she will not be doing that anymore or going to the bank with me on Monday's. My world is changing and I am not too happy about it. I know I could home school her, but I also know she is going to LOVE Kindergarten. She takes dance and plays T Ball so she has friends and one is in her class. She also has the same teacher my youngest son had so I KNOW she will LOVE it. I know her life is really beginning now and she will continue to grow, learn and become her little self.
I love all of my kids and I am so proud of them. I know this year is going to be an amazing one for them all so I wanted to create this blog and document it. I will print it out each time and place in a binder for them. I will write more about them all as I can. I had gotten up early thinking I had time, but...the kids have also gotten up early so I will stop for now, plus it gets me all teary and I need to fix the kids some breakfast.
