Time For Some Changes

Ugh....I love Mondays :( it hasn't been too bad really,  they're just the craziest of them all. After work I had to take my daughter to the dentist to get sealant, or whatever you call it, put on her back permanent teeth. This was our first afternoon appointment since she decided to throw fits a few years back.  Afterwards she had to have Chic FIL A, a habit you  develop when you have 8a.m. dental appointments,  lol.
     Onto business. ..I got my new magnetic hoops in today, this is going to make my life so much easier,  so sick of fast frames and the ones you have to push through the clothing into the other part of the frame. Speaking of making my life easier. ...I LOVE my business and I do not want to close it. I have my etsy shop which I have done great with,  but since April,  not so well. I use to keep 20 plus orders and now, right now I have FIVE!!! With that,  I can see that I can't depend on it. My feedback is great, if I mess up, I fix it, etc. So I know it's not my business,  it's just etsy not letting me shine or there's just too much there to be seen through.  I need to know where I'm going,  get better,  not worst.  I'm going to be booking events,  I will post when I have one scheduled. I'm also thinking of ONLY having premade stuff available as the orders just get so stressful, especially during the holidays. I have some, well, a lot of people I will have 20 convo with about their order.  I don't mind,  but working full time, my family,  the convos, the orders that take about an hour each,  it gets to me and leaves me with no time for me or my family.  I think if I just have ready to go stuff, certain things in certain sizes,  ready to ship as soon as it's purchased will help me so much with my stress and time management. Maybe,  eventually I'll start the orders up again,  but I have got to find a consistent path first.  BTW, I plan to have 100 pre made shirts ready to go.  I also plan to open ebay back up since this will be easier to list. 
 

Busy Days =Great Nights Sleep

I slept great and went to sleep as soon as I went to bed last night.  Having my coffee now and will be getting ready to plant my flowers soon.  I'm going to work on my hanging baskets and some pots. My husband just turned the water back on for the pool. It was bowing real bad on the sides. Coleman messaged me saying it was normal so we're going to finish feeling it up. We got new floats yesterday so I may get in it for a little bit.  Just relax. 
    I have been stressing myself so much with my busuness, working everyday. It has me feeling like that is all I have time to do when it's really just me not taking a break.  I have decided that when I can,  my weekends will be family time.  It just gets so hard to turn my mind off, lol. I will be setting up on the weekends sometimes at festivals and the holidays can be crazy....but those times when I'm not busy with that,  I will not be going up to my shop on the weekend.

Busy Fun Day

I am exhausted! !! We started our day at 7 a.m. heading to Collinsville, AL to do some flea market shopping. We were there for several hours.  We got home and unloaded stuff (I go for the flowers, trees, etc.) I planted some plants by some steps outside and we started cleaning one of my flower beds that is all rock. It is under sweet gum trees so we have decided to cover it with mulch instead of more rock that's just going to get full of those round things and leaves again.  We were also filling the kids pool. We got them a rectangle pool by Coleman last weekend.  While it was filling we went to eat at Golden Coral. Then to Sam's, Hobby Lobby, Target, Home Depot for more mulch and potting soil, and to Duncan Donuts because I told husband yesterday that it was National Donut day and I didn't get any donuts,  lol, so he got me some today :) now we are just chilling,  exhausted.  I don't think I could have handled one more store today.

Good Morning

It has been a pretty good weekend. Yesterday I did some cleaning in the kitchen. Cleaned the cabinets, got the floors swept and mopped, laundry done, etc. I plan to clean all my other stuff and dust the kitchen today. I plan to deep clean one room a week. It's easier to do that than a little each day. I do my basic stuff daily, but the other stuff that gets pushed back is what I'm referring to.
     Tomorrow starts my baby girls birthday week. She will be 8 Friday. I have seven gifts wrapped so she can open one a day every morning she gets up this week. I am also going to make her a princess cake, hopefully it will turn out good. I will post each day so you can see what she gets :-)

Getting Motivated

I am getting motivated.  I use to be on top of things, but have slacked so bad. I downloaded my Mom app yesterday that tells me certain cleaning stuff to do each day. I get so busy and on certain things, like cleaning the ceiling fans, I don't realize how much time passes between cleanings. I am also going to download my calorie tracker today, another bad habit of being busy, not eating healthy. So, today is the day I give myself more discipline!!!

I have slacked this week

Didn't realize that I haven't blogged since Monday. Nothing too much has really happened, just the usual, work, home, work. E is going to her BFF's tomorrow and then my mom's Saturday. She is so excited, of course!! I got online yesterday and checked R's grades, not so good. I messaged him to bring his work home and he did. That boy just hates school. He would rather scrub the house and clean the yard than go to school. He is a good kid, this is my only problem with him. Monday when they were out of school, he washed his and his sister's bedding and made their beds up. What 13 yo boys do that??? Not many without being told to. He did this on his own.
  Well, alarms are starting to go off so it's almost time to get everyone ready for another day.

No School Today

No school means that I can take my time this morning :-)
   I had a great weekend, got a lot accomplished, but still lots to do. Saturday I got my much needed car serviced and hair cut. Yesterday was one of those days that if I had it all to myself and no one to worry with I could have accomplished so much. I don't get that mood often, lol. I started with my file box that I never use. I cleaned every file out and made new ones so I can keep track of all receipts and everything I do this year. I also have the quickbooks app which is awesome. I will print that once a month and file it. I also straightened up my fabric and took pics of everything and made a fabric album on my Facebook page. This will help lots with people needing options. I have over 100 and I add to if often.
    I could have gone to the movies last night with my daughter's BFF and family, but I was on a roll so my daughter went and watched Paddington. She loved it!!! I was dying my hair when she got home. It is dark and not even, ugh!!! I am about to go fix it so I hope it doesn't look too bad. If so, oh well!!

So Excited And Motivated

Although I am still sitting on the couch, lol. I know once I get up and busy it will be good :-)
    I joined an applique group on Facebook, it is amazing. I learned something so awesome yesterday and can't wait to try it. I got some shaggy material yesterday for some bunny shirts and this new tip will hopefully make them look amazing.
    Yesterday was a busy day for us, as most Saturdays are. I got my hair cut and I am going to dye it today, a new, darker color. It is going to be so different, but I am ready for a change. After I got my hair cut I had to go to the Nissan place and get my car serviced. While sitting there the lady comes over to me about trading. I have only had my car two years this month, but she said that was o.k. I have already been talking about the Nissan Rogue so getting some info would be good. Anyway, just as I figured, I need to wait another year, but I did get some info and that was good. I am so excited to see where things will be in a year, so much going on for the better.
   Guess I will sit here a few more minutes and then I need to get busy.

Happy Saturday Morning

Sitting here enjoying my morning with my yummy coffee :-) Everyone is still in the bed, but I don't think they will be for much longer.
    My daughter had a friend over last night. We went to Papa's pizza when I picked them up from school to get piggy sticks and then to the redbox to get them some movies they didn't watch(mr. Peabody and Santa paws). I know, Christmas movies, lol. They wanted Charlie Brown's Christmas, but I wouldn't let them. They played barbies and upstairs with the kitchen stuff all evening. We also made homemade chocolate chip cookies.
    This morning my daughter and I are going to get our hair cut and then my oil changed. Then I guess I will work on some orders so they can go out Monday. I hope everyone has a great day and weekend!!

Getting Closer

Hopefully today will be better than yesterday. When I got home from work yesterday I was just tired for some reason. I worked on a shirt, but it didn't look too good. Was going to work on another order, but couldn't find any fabric I liked in my stash so going to look for some this weekend. I just called it a day after that. Some days my mind just isn't with it. Hopefully I will get something accomplished today. I still have some new items to list.

Hump Dayyyyy

I rearranged my routine this morning. Get completely ready except for my hair and then sit down. Kids are getting up. I just told them that they better be getting up and my daughter says "how many days until Friday?" Lol, I feel her pain. Always on the countdown :-)
    I blogged yesterday, but my pics wouldn't load and I couldn't remove them and therefore my post never would publish so it is just sitting in my drafts.
    I am on a challenge, drink one gallon of water a day along with my smoothie every morning. My smoothie consist of milk, frozen fruit(strawberries right now) vitamins, calcium pill, 2 tsp. flax seed(suppose to be 3 tbs I think, but that is too much for me).
    I better finish getting ready for my day.

Monday Again

Can't believe it is already Monday. We had a pretty good weekend. I love it when I get different things accomplished. Yesterday was a pretty good day. I worked on a couple of orders, some new bows and made my daughter that olaf shirt I have been wanting to make. We also made some frozen cupcakes. So far I am doing good at getting new stuff made up. Hoping to get some events lined up staying march.
    My daughter is just starting to sleep in her bedroom at almost 8 years old. Yesterday her and her daddy went to lowes and she came back with a ceiling fan. He painted it pink and got it put up for her, sge loves it.
   Well, kids alarms are starting to go off so time to finish getting ready for the day.

Great Weekend

It has been a great weekend. I got a lot accomplished yesterday. My daughter and I went to the car wash and I vacuumed and shampooed my car, yes, it was freezing, but it needed it. I scheduled my oil change for next Saturday too. Then we came home and I cleaned more on the inside and then I started on the house. I got dusting done and the bathrooms. Feels good getting up on a Sunday morning with these things already done.
   I also worked on some orders yesterday morning and started some new hair bows. I am going to finish the bows up today and start on more orders. One of my shirt orders didn't come in yesterday so that is messing my scheduled up some, but hopefully it will be here tomorrow and I can finish tomorrow evening.
   

Good Saturday Morning!!

I love my Saturdays!!! Even though my daughter's alarm clock went off at 7 this morning and woke me up. This was her first week using it. She has gotten up better, but only I after I turn it off, lol. She slept 10 minutes with it sounding this morning before I heard it and got up and turned it off, lol....and she is still sleeping.
   No plans really this weekend. I need to clean, blah....and work on orders and hopefully get my daughter's valentine and birthday shirts ready. It is so nice having my weekend back and no so much running, running, running.

We Made It To Friday!!

TGIF, finally. Actually this week hasn't been to bad since school started back on a Wednesday. It hasn't been crazy either with 50 things to do in the evenings either, that really makes a difference, but to succeed at my business, I do need it to get busier, lol. People are slowly getting back into the shopping mood. I have some orders for several people. Going to do a few each day so I am not spending my entire weekend on them. I also want to add more bows and shirts. I have two shurts coming in for my daughter, one for Valentine's, one for her birthday. We just have to decide what to put on them. I also have some 100th day of school ribbon that I will be making her a bow with and maybe even a shirt. Well, no, not a shirt, just remembered they wear pajamas on that day. Oh well. Brrr...I think it is finally winter

It is in the single digits here today, too cold. Makes getting up and heading out difficult.
    Yesterday was the kids first day back after winter break. We were all getting ready when I looked at my daughter and noticed her eye all red, swollen and icky. I couldn't believe it. Two weeks out and the first day back and it is already starting. I decided to keep her home, miss work and take her to the doctor. Luckily it was just a sty, but better to know that than send her to school, get to work and have the school nurse call you to pick her up. Hopefully today will be better.
    Time to get the day started. Get the kids up and put the chicken on in the crockpot for yummy chicken salad this evening.

Last Day Of Winter Break

It is so crazy how something you look forward to goes by so fast. Can't believe it is already a new year and time to go back to school. On the bright side, maybe I will get out of my lazy rut. I just can't get motivated. I have been getting things done, but at a very slow pace. I really need to work on that.
   I hope everyone has a great day, enjoy it if it is your last day before heading back to school tomorrow.

Happy Monday

We had a really good weekend. My husband and son fixed my daughter's bed. She has a very small bedroom so they raised her bed up so she can put some toys under it to give her more floor space, she loves it. Her and her brother hung blankets around it and made a tent. So funny, they both stayed in her room all evening. She is doing great sleeping in it as well, not scared.
   Can't believe christmas break is almost over. Dance starts back tomorrow and school starts back wednesday. They have had a good break though. It will not be no time before it will be spring break and then summer.
   Guess I better get ready for work, have a wonderful day.

Great New Year

How is your year going so far? Ours is starting off great. I took yesterday off and got a lot accomplished. My son got my daughter's bed moved to her room and I got it sll cleaned and fixed up. She loves it, stayed in there all day, but slept with her big sissy last night, lol. I am sure she will sleep in there with no problems as long as her TV is on :-)
    New years eve we baked a cake, made calzones, breadsticks and had their juice and we shot fireworks and watched the ball drop on TV. Yesterday I did some much needed cleaning and I still have tons to do. I know you're not suppose to do this stuff on new years, but these things affect my mood and when they're done, I am happier and that makes for a good start to a good year. We also had a good meal last night; pintos for my husbands, hamburger steaks, turnip greens and cornbread. I feel good about this year, it is going to be great!!!
