Halloween Weekend

Good morning!!! We have a fun day planned today for Halloween. My kids are getting older so I'm having to create more fun events so the older ones and their SO can make plans to attend. 
   Today we're having a small party. I just got the crock pot hot chocolate started since it takes a while.  My 10 year old and I are going to make a melted witch cake like the one we made for the school festival this past week. I'm also going to make my Velveeta hamburger dip and an avocado dip. We're also going to make Halloween cookies and carve pumpkins. We also have a cheese and pepperoni tray, lots of food. Oh...and my 10 yo has slime projects ready ☺ I'll post pictures of our fun day later.

Dentist Today

Good Morning!
   Did everyone enjoy the eclipse yesterday?  My 10 yo had a fun day at school. She loves her glasses and looks at everything through them. My 16 yo stayed home and helped a friend, he didn't care too much about it. I borrowed a co workers glasses to see it. It was absolutely amazing. We had 97% coverage or something around that,  so not a complete blackout. The universe is so interesting.
    My 10 yo has a dentist appointment today so she's staying home. We're making it a fun day that includes Chick Fil A, of course, the park to feed the ducks and walk a mile, and birthday shopping for her Daddy. She has a peanut butter cupcake recipe she wants to make him.  Plus we have to find him something, lol. Her appointment is just for a cleaning so hopefully it will not take long. 
   I hope you're day is a great one! !!

Good Sunday Morning

It has been a good weekend here.  Very rarely does my mind relax enough for me to enjoy it. There's always so many things I need and want to do.
    Friday was pretty laid back.  I did some cleaning and a couple of orders. My 10 yo and I watched Finding Dory, it was really cute. Yesterday my husband, me, and the kids went to the outlets school shopping. They both found something. ...amazing!! My 16 yo is so picky about jeans so I was surprised when he found 3 pair :) He was also able to find some new boots at Bass Pro (amazingly he ever wears so he goes through  them quickly)
    My oldest will be 25 tomorrow.  We met them for lunch. While we were on vacation we ate at Uncle Bucks in Bass Pro. It was so amazing and different. I found out the Bass Pro here has an Uncle Bucks so we decided to eat there....it wasn't the same...it's a sandwich shop...what? ?? Anyway we decided to eat at Chi Fil A instead. So crazy at the difference. Same name but completely different.
    Well, this is the kids last full week of summer break :( it never last long enough. We start cheer this  week. I have still got to sign my 10 yo up for Gymnastics....totally slacking here. Back to busy routines again.

Where Has The Summer Gone

     I can't believe it's almost time for the kids to go back to school.  I had to take my 16 yo for his orientation yesterday. I can't believe I only have one more summer vacation with him and two school years. I have 4 kids, the older two are 22 and almost 25. I have always had the "little ones" to fall back on as the older 2 grew up, but now my "little ones" are growing up. It's not so easy. It also seems to be going faster and faster. I have never noticed my time going by as fast as it does now.  These next 2 years are going to be hard as I watch my 16 yo grow even more and finish school.

This Week's Summer Fun Adventure

Each week this summer we plan a fun thing to do. Nothing big or expensive. It's pretty much just me and my 10 yo daughter as my 16 yo isn't into this stuff anymore and my older two kids are adults with their on thing going on. 
   Today my 16 yo went to his girlfriends house. They were going swimming, but it's raining,  so I doubt that happened. It has been so rainy this year. My 10 yo and I went to Build A Bear, that's what she picked this week. She made her a dog and named her Bella. We then had lunch in the food court. I had my yummy Sarku and she had Subway. We had a good time today.
   Last week we went to Mt Cheaha and hiked, had lunch, and she went swimming a little bit before the rain came in.  We had a small bonfire and roasted marshmallows one evening. We finally got the pool up so they can swim.....when it isn't raining. It has rained almost every day here for the past 2-3 weeks. 
   That's what we have done so far this year. This is their 2nd week out of school. Looking forward to lots more FUN!!!

Good Morning!!

I'm having a slow start to the new year,  lol. I have lots of things I want to do, but instead of rushing and being in a panic,  I'm taking my time. I'm working on new orders and getting them posted to my Etsy shop, but I haven't even worked on my personal shop. I need to set certain days to certain things so it will be more manageable.
