What a week....

It has been a very busy, nonstop week. I worked all week, came home Monday and Tuesday and cooked so that we could do our thanksgiving Wednesday while my mom and husband were off. Did that after I worked Wednesday, lol. Then I worked Thursday so my dayshift girls could be off, then I came home and rested a little and then we started decorating for Christmas. I hung the lights outside and the kids put up the tree, lol, I went to take a bath while they were putting it up, when I got done,  they were decorating, but they had forgot to put the lights on it so my youngest son did that today, lol. They are such good helpers and enjoy decorating as much as I do. This morning I was up at 4:30 and out the door by 5 with two kids and two teens, dropped the kids off with my mom and me and the teens were at the mall by 6:) I just finished wrapping gifts and back to chilling.  The shopping wore me out more than anything I have done all week, lol. I have a good bit done as far as shopping goes: )

Oh, how can I forget...it was also my oldest daughters birthday yesterday:) she turned 19.

Holidays And The Kids

This post may be long as it has been a while since my last one and I need to catch up:) We have had a few fun things going on. My youngest had a field trip last Friday to the pumpkin patch with her first grade class. It was a lot of fun. The kids really enjoy going there, so much to do, keeps them busy for a good three hours. Then this week was the school festival which is always a lot of fun. My youngest son invited his little girlfriend so we picked her up and they walked around, played games and ate. My youngest daughter had a blast. The first year she hung out with a friend, she's six so it's usually the two of us, but this year was a lot more fun. Her and her little friend loved doing the toy walk and they both won a toy:) My daughter and I also had to make a cake for the cake walk, we made one to look like Frankenstein.
   Yesterday was parent/teacher meeting day. I have four kids, but only two in school, one in college and one living on his own working, so only two kids teachers to meet with. My youngest is doing great. Having a little trouble adding three numbers, lol. Her last test wasn't too good and caused her to have an 89 on her report card, one point from A honor roll, but I'm still proud, it was her first report card with actual grades, lol, and she did good. My youngest son, different story. He is giving me a time stared last year in the sixth grade and now worst. I met with most of his teachers yesterday, missed one because he had left, he's a coach. I did get my internet login info that he never brought home so when he says" I don't have homework" or" I did it in class" I can go online the next day and see if there's a zero for homework:) I also downloaded the quizlet app so I can see what his test are about and I can print him off practice test. I also did the text alert with one teacher so I will get an alert letting me know he has a test coming up or whatever. And....the kids are out all next week for fall break so he has an essay and some other stuff to do, I got him some work to do from two of his teachers, lol. He will do better.
    I have all of my kids here today. My oldest son came over last night to spend the night. My oldest daughter has to go to work this mornin though:( I am going to cook a big breakfast so I better get busy.

And it begins....

Took a little longer than expected, but I had to get my planner updated and a new checkbook, lol. Time for the school fees to start rolling in. Happy that my youngest has a field trip next month to the pumpkin patch. The schools don't do a lot of those anymore. We went there last year when she was in kindergarten and the kids had a blast.

Great Weekend

It has been a great weekend!! I have decided to do all my chores,  bow making, etc during the week and start enjoying my weekends. I spent time with all of my kids. Yesterday me, my girls and youngest son went out for lunch at Longhorn,  then to 32 degrees for yogurt,  then to hobby lobby to get some fall stuff for the yard and a candle for my youngest sons room. We came home up decorated the house for fall and my youngest son lit all the candles:) I also got up yesterday morning and made a breakfast casserole and cleaned in the attic for almost an hour, great day!! Today me and the two youngest kids went to church with my oldest son.  They had revival all week so they had singing, preaching and food today, had a great time and made my son happy:) I came home and was going to do some work. ...I was starting over an hour later on a shirt I was going to make my daughter, so I just packaged up an order and shut it all down and started dinner, pork chops, fried okra and potatoes: ) now I just need to start baths, pack lunches and iron clothes. Hope everyone else has had a great weekend!! Feels great to unplug, think I will do it again next weekend:)

Tomorrow is MY day

I have been little by little working on new habits and I feel myself doing better, but....I still slack a lot, lol. I bought this smoothie stuff I am going to try tomorrow. If has probiotics  in it. I have been using Silk, but want a fruity shake. I make my shakes/ smoothies with flax seed, vitamins crushed up in it and I have been adding probiotics,  but since this already has that, I may skip that one. I bought me some cereal bars, triscuits,  blueberries, plumbs, blueberry bagels and blueberry cream cheese to take to work so hopefully I will not snack on junk! I also plan on starting my exercising tomorrow and do that at least three days a week soooo wish me luck!!

Hope Everyone Had A Great 4th

It has rained all week here. We did go to the rec center for some fun on the 4Th. The parade got cancelled, was going to have it yesterday and it got cancelled again. It is still gloomy out today. We have a pool party to attend later this evening, hoping the sun may pop out for a little bit.
   We started some school shopping this week.  My husband took the kids shopping early in the week, then the kids and I did more yesterday. I wasn't even planning on it, lol.  We went to the mall for a birthday gift. I wanted to peek in at dillard's real quick and that was it,  lol, that was as far as we made it.  They had a great sale on boys clothes, $40 jeans for@ 10, couldn't pass it up. And they always have the cutest stuff for girls. I fell in love with this one outfit for my daughter( wasn't on sale though).
  The kids are finally getting up, sleepy heads, so I better get busy.

Slacked on this blog

I was going to blog this past year about the kids milestone year,  but it was so busy and seemed easier to use facebook instead. I did keep up with it.
    This summer has been going by so fast already. Haven't done as much as I had planned, but getting better. I was going to visit my oldest son today (still haven't seen his new apartment), but he has a birthday party to attend. I have decided to take this weekend and catch up on cleaning and working on new hair bows for my shop.  My youngest daughter is going to my mom's so I am taking advantage of the time.
